Kentucky WR Cam Cheuvront Drawing Interest from Furman

Furman Cam CheuvrontSomerset, Kentucky wide receiver Cam Cheuvront is drawing interest from the Furman Paladins. Cam is 5-10 165 with true 4.4 speed. Cheuvront has 977 yards in 2013 with 12 touchdowns. He also plays corner and returns punts for Somerset. The only offer at the moment is Davidson, however the Paladins along with Southern Illinois, Army and Murray State are showing interest. The Paladins do not yet have a receiver commitment although they have had offers out to a couple of receivers for several months.

There is no YouTube film, but you can watch highlights on Cam’s Hudl Page. Obviously, at 4.4 Cheuvront’s speed sets him apart, but Cam also seems to have good hands and doesn’t mind going up in traffic to make a play. At Somerset, it looks like his biggest asset is stretching the field and keeping the defense on their heals. It is hard not to like a guy with breakaway speed, he can help you in a number of ways just by forcing the defense to account for his presence. It will be interesting to see where Cam lands on signing day.
